In collaboration with the NMPED and the Learning Policy Institute (LPI), CORE NMSU had the opportunity to co-facilitate, the first of several Taskforce meetings which took place in Bernalillo, NM on August 10th and 11th. The Taskforce convened for two days to discuss and plan changes to the NM teacher evaluation system, based on the stakeholder feedback from the community input conversations which occurred in May and June of 2019 throughout the state. We are honored to have been in a room filled with such passionate NM education advocates and want to sincerely thank everyone. Both days were filled with honest conversations and collaboration. This work is incredibly difficult and your service is invaluable! The next meeting is schedule for September 28th to discuss the long term changes for the system. |
The NMPED has requested to publish meeting artifacts in an effort for transparency as requested by the stakeholders. Below you will find the documentation used during the Taskforce meeting and final takeaways for the interim Teacher Evaluation System.
